It was recently discovered in an old barn, not the best of conditions. It has survived remarkably well and we have now photographed it for posterity. There will be a digital print of it in my exhibition in Burgundy, France in April. I think artistically it has stood the test of time well and I’m very happy to have it back in my collection.[/mk_fancy_title][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/mk_page_section][mk_page_section bg_stretch=”true” enable_3d=”true” video_opacity=”0.3″ full_width=”true” padding_top=”0″ padding_bottom=”0″ animation=”fade-in” sidebar=”sidebar-1″ first_page=”true” last_page=”false”][vc_column][mk_fancy_title tag_name=”h1″ color=”#393836″ size=”30″ font_weight=”normal” font_style=”inhert” txt_transform=”none” margin_top=”100″ margin_bottom=”0″ font_family=”none” align=”center” animation=”fade-in”]Digital Painting[/mk_fancy_title][mk_divider style=”thick_solid” divider_width=”custom_width” custom_width=”100″ border_color=”#dd3333″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][mk_fancy_title tag_name=”h3″ color=”#393836″ size=”16″ txt_transform=”none” margin_bottom=”0″ font_family=”none” align=”center”]
Mike Hutchby studied Fine Art painting in Brighton under Dennis Creffield, a former member of the Borough Group which had been led by David Bomberg in the 1940s. Mike cites his influences as including Dennis, Frank Auerbach, Howard Hodgkin and Mathew Smith, to name a few. These works are original digital paintings largely completed on an iPad and then printed to canvas at 30″ by 40″.
